Nieuwe botteling First Cask: Caol Ila 1982

WIN heeft onder het eigen First Cask label een tweede botteling uitgebracht. Vat 741 gedistilleerd op 9 februari 1982 door de Caol Ila distilleerderij op Islay en gebotteld op 17 april 2007 rechtstreeks uit het vat zonder koude filtratie of bijkleuring of verdere verdunning.
Dus single cask, cask strength op 60,8% ABV. Eerlijker en zuiverder kan niet.
“A favorite amongst whisky afficionados, Caol Ila is one of those typical Islay malts. Heavy and oily with those all familiar aroma’s of the sea and of the peat fires. However this Caol Ila was matured on a fantastic American Oak Hogshead for over 25 years. This has mellowed all those Islay fragrances and added a lot more different aroma’s and sophistication. A fantastic example of a mature Caol Ila without losing its pedigree. Bottled in the best possible way, without Chill-filtration, colouring and at cask strength, this single cask whisky retains all the flavours and aroma’s”.
